Game Day
Destination
Nine screens. A full outdoor patio wired for sound. Dodgers and Rams territory from opening pitch to final whistle. Eighth and Rail is where the Santa Clarita Valley watches.
Built for the game.
Built for this neighborhood.
Eighth and Rail has been a cornerstone of Old Town Newhall since the building first opened in 1878. Today it holds nine screens, a full bar program, and an outdoor patio wired for sound, all pointed at whoever is playing tonight. This is not a sports bar that happens to serve food. This is a neighborhood bar that is the best place in the Santa Clarita Valley to watch a game.
Dodger blue runs deep here. So does Rams gold. But the screens stay on all year: NFL Sundays, NBA tipoffs, college football Saturdays, and everything in between. If it matters, it is on at Eighth and Rail.
No cover. No reservations required. Just find your seat, order your round, and let the game come to you.
Los Angeles
Dodgers
Every game on screen. Every at-bat, every strikeout, every walk-off moment watched with people who feel it the same way you do. Eighth and Rail is Dodger country all season long and deep into October.
Los Angeles
Rams
Sunday football belongs here. Whether it is a noon kickoff or a prime time showdown, the Rams games roll on every available screen. Come early, claim your spot, and settle in for all four quarters.
"Nine screens. No cover. The whole game, start to finish, exactly the way it should be watched."Eighth & Rail · Old Town Newhall · Est. 1878
What We Watch
From Opening Day through the postseason, every Dodgers game is on at Eighth and Rail. Day games, night games, West Coast starts, and every playoff game that matters. Bring your jersey.
The Rams are our team and Sunday is our biggest day of the week. Nine screens mean no bad seat and no missed play. Early windows, afternoon games, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night too.
Lakers season runs from October through June, and every game finds a screen here. Whether it is a regular season Tuesday or a playoff series, pull up a stool and watch Los Angeles ball with a cold drink in hand.
College football Saturdays are loud and long, and we are here for all of it. From noon kickoffs to late West Coast games, the CFB slate runs wall to wall. USC, UCLA, and every ranked matchup on screen.
From LAFC and LA Galaxy matchdays to Premier League weekends and international tournaments, soccer finds a screen at Eighth and Rail. The bar opens early for overseas kickoffs.
The Masters. The Stanley Cup Playoffs. Grand Slam tennis. If people are watching it, a screen at Eighth and Rail is carrying it. Nine screens means there is always room for the game you came to see.
Start to Final Whistle
Good seats go fast on big game days. Show up before tipoff, before kickoff, before the first pitch. Claim your spot at the bar or find a table with a direct line to your screen.
Nine screens means no blind spots. Belly up to the main bar, post up at a table, or take it outside to the patio. Every seat has a view worth having and full sound to go with it.
Fourteen taps, a full cocktail program, and a game day food menu built for the moment. Wings, panini, cheesy bread, and everything you need to settle in for the long haul.
Watch it the way it deserves to be watched. Full crowd, full volume, and a bar that actually cares about the outcome. This is what Eighth and Rail was built for.
Overtime, postgame, late scores from across the league. We stay on the air until the last game wraps. No rushing out, no early shutoffs. The night ends when the sports do.
The Outdoor Patio
The patio at Eighth and Rail is not an afterthought. It is a full extension of the bar. Every seat outside comes with the same full bar service, the same food menu, and a sound system that puts the game right in the room with you, even when the room is open air.
On a Dodgers night game in the summer or a late-season Rams Sunday afternoon, the patio is the best seat in Newhall. A cold beer, great sound, and the game coming through exactly the way it should. There is not another setup like it in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The patio accommodates groups and is ideal for watch parties looking for more space without losing the energy of the room. Come early and plant your flag before the first pitch or kickoff. It fills up on the big nights.
